Wiltshire Garden Designer, Jill Blackwood, RHS Medal, provides bespoke and professional garden design in Swindon and surrounding areas across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.  Jill’s hand drawn garden designs combine the textural elements of garden design with the year-round colour and scent of creative planting plans.

Born in Cornwall Jill was enthusiastic about wildlife and gardening from an early age.  She studied as a garden designer and attained a Post Graduate Diploma – Distinction in Garden Design.  With decades of experience in Landscape Design and as a Landscape Gardener, Jill has extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for plants and garden landscaping, this shines out in her garden designs.

Through thoughtful garden designs, Jill aims to create inspirational and relaxing gardens for her clients.  Not only to enhance their lives and homes, but also to help nurture our wildlife and the environment.  Clients are provided with a garden plan that ensures their garden build is softened and enhanced with the beauty of nature.

Her 2006 RHS award winning show garden, ‘A Bonnie Burn’, included a bespoke water feature with a waterfall and gentle stream, constructed using glacial boulders.  The babbling stream nestled in an undulating wildflower meadow, surrounded by native trees and shrubs.  Jill designed the show garden to illustrate how we can all ‘do our bit’ by creating a sanctuary for wildlife in our gardens to protect and nurture our native species.  The garden was awarded a Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medal and featured on BBC Gardeners World.

Details of builders who have built her gardens over the years can be provided to offer you an estimate for your garden construction.  Jill can also provide details of a landscape gardener that has planted most of her gardens, to provide you with an estimate for planting your garden along with ongoing garden maintenance, if needed, once your garden is completed.
